Recently MCAST Energy Research Group (MCAST Energy) Principal Investigator and JUMP2Excel coordinator Dr Eur. Ing. Inġ. Brian Azzopardi together with Dr Vibhu Jately from MCAST Energy Research Group and JUMP2Excel Task Leader presented two papers at the 29th International Photovolatics Science and Engineering Conference (PVSEC-29) in Xi’an, China. The contributions included the dissemination of JUMP2Excel project with its five research themes (i) fusion of emerging PV technology development, (ii) focused PV integration technical solutions, (iii) energy-water nexus, focus on PVs, (iv) future electricity markets with PVs and (v) examining energy pathways in the Mediterranean and proposed electricity grid mitigation techniques for higher penetration of PVs using existing substation level transformers assets.
JUMP2Excel project: Joint Universal activities for Mediterranean PV integration Excellence is funded from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 810809. Forthcoming actions are two Public Lectures on the 14th November 2019 and 27th February 2020 respectively and JUMP2Excel School in collaboration with Enemalta PLC and SBE19Malta Conference 18 – 22 November 2019.
