MCAST Energy presents three research papers at the 47th IEEE Photovoltaic Specialists Conference Virtual Meeting

MCAST Energy Research Group (MCAST Energy) is presenting three research papers at the 47th IEEE Photovoltaic Specialists Conference Virtual Meeting (v.PVSC) between the 15th June and 21st August 2020. The annual PVSC is the signature event in the burgeoning solar power technology and market sector with over 2,000 key scientists and engineers on the forefront of photovoltaic research and development.

MCAST Energy contributions include design study base on MCAST microgrid using real-data, energy-water nexus through the use of heat pumps and techno-economical assessment for PV self-consumption in Malta. The research contributions are the result of 3DMicroGrid, EDGEWISE, NEEMO and JUMP2Excel projects.

These works were supported in part by the European Commission H2020 TWINNING JUMP2Excel (Joint Universal activities for Mediterranean PV integration Excellence) project under grant 810809; H2020 TWINNING NEEMO (Networking for Excellence in Electric Mobility Operations) project under grant 857484, as well as the Malta Council for Science and Technology (MCST) (Grant ENM-2016-002a) through the ERANETMED initiative of the Member States, Associated Countries and Mediterranean Partner Countries (3DMgrid Project ID eranetmed_energy-11-286) and also in part by the MCST EDGEWISE project under grant number ENM-2016-001.
